PayPal Instructions

Set up a PayPal Account

• To open a PayPal account, click here.

• Make sure the Personal Account button is checked, then click the Continue button.

• Fill out the form that appears and click the Sign Up button. You will also be asked to fill in your email address twice and a password twice (Note: your password needs to be at least 8 characters long. This is how you will log in to your PayPal account once it is established.)

• You will be sent an email with a link that you will need to click on to activate your account. (Keep the PayPal screen that you are on open for now in case the link in your email does not work properly.)

• In your email program, open the email titled "Activate Your PayPal Account!"

• Click on the wording "Click here to activate your account".

• On the resulting screen, enter your password and click the Confirm button.

• Here you will need to click on the button in order to link your bank account to your new PayPal account. Follow the on screen instructions and sample on this page in order to correctly enter the information on this page.

• PayPal will make two small deposits into the bank account you just registered. These deposits should appear in your bank account in 2-4 business days. They are yours to keep.

Call your bank in 2-4 days to find out the exact amounts of the two deposits. You can also check your bank statement for these amounts. They will be listed as deposits from PayPal.com.

• Log in to your PayPal account and click the Confirm bank account link on the Account Overview page.

• Enter the exact amounts that were deposited into your bank account. You are ready to use Online Giving on our website.

Give Online

• Click on the "Secure Online Giving" button.

• On the Payment Details page, enter the information requested. There is no need for the $ sign in the Amount field, but you do need to put the decimal point.

• You are now at the Confirm Your Payment screen. Click on the Pay button and you will be at the Receipt screen that you can print out for your records. You will also receive a confirming email from PayPal.

• After printing this screen, you can also check your account activity.

• Be sure to click on LogOut at the top of the screen and close your browser so you will be completely logged out of PayPal.
